Editing suite rental in Paris: prices and checklist
How much an editing suite costs in Paris, what equipment to expect and what to ask before booking: the guide to choosing well.
How much is an editing suite in Paris?
Depending on equipment and duration, expect €60 to €150 per day for a self-service suite, and much more with an editor or a screening room. At ForCut Bastille: €80 incl. VAT per half-day, €120 per day, €600 per week, €2,000 per month.
Equipment to check
A recent machine (Mac Studio Ultra or equivalent), at least 64 GB of memory for 4K, a reference or calibrated 4K monitor, a client screen, monitoring speakers and 10 GbE networking if you work on shared storage.
Software and licences
Make sure licences are official and up to date: Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio. A missing licence can stall a project on the day.
Access, hours and security
24/7 access saves hours at the end of a project. Ask how machines are wiped after your session and whether the network is isolated: essential for confidential projects.
Comfort for long sessions
Soundproofing, air conditioning, adjustable light, kitchen and lounge: over several weeks, these details matter as much as the machine.
Sliding rates
For a feature or a documentary, negotiate a weekly or monthly rate and keep the same room from start to finish.
